Sweet Dreams "Touch a Truck"

Sweet Dreams is a local ice cream shop and they just sponsored a "Touch a Truck" event out at the fairgrounds here in Gainesville. They had a city bus, fire truck, police car, and 20 or 30 other kinds of vehicles for kids (and grownups) to get in and check out.

Here he is in the cab of a semi-truck
Then he drove a front-loader.

His favorite vehicle was definitely the cop car - there were so many gadgets inside to play with!

Last but not least was the ice cream...

Today we just got back from an overnight camping adventure at our favorite park - Anastasia Island. When we got there it was pouring rain - luckily it had cleared up by dinner-time and we still got to cook out (it was also a good excuse to head to the outlet mall while we waited out the rain!)

Coby did great overnight. We drove around until he was asleep and then transferred him to his pack-and-play inside the tent when we got back to our campsite. But after that, he slept through the night - best camping trip yet!!! We got up early to do breakfast Taylor-style. We always get McDonalds the morning after we camp.
Then we headed down to the beach. We had missed out the day before with all the rain, so we did our best to cram it all in before Coby's nap-time.

The beach is so much more fun than it was a year ago. Now we can go in the water together and Coby loves to build sandcastles and dig holes in the sand. We stayed at the beach as long as we could, but as soon as he started asking for his lovey we knew it was time to pack it up.
