Camping and Poe Springs
Well, I clearly have forgotten how much work, work is. I have a great homeroom class and am excited about the new school year, but it has been an exhausting last two weeks!
We have, however, managed to keep on enjoying our weekends to their absolute fullest. Last weekend we went camping at ASP with our friends Mike, Nicole, Linc and Griffin.
After two full days at the beach, we decided to spend Sunday in St. Augustine. The boys had a great time riding the carousel. Again, and again, and again... Coby named his horse Callie :)

This weekend we headed down the road to Poe Springs for a quick dip and a picnic. The water is 72 degrees year-round. It was a great relief from the Florida heat!

Oregon 2011
Even though it turned out to be a sad visit, we managed to have good times and make great memories during our trip to Oregon this summer.
Getting ready to go bust up some dirt clods, "Git 'er done."
Coby on "his" backhoe. There needs to be one of these at every playground :)
Feeding the cows, I mean HORSES out at Grandpa's

Dinner at Max and Dave's.

Visiting Ella, Carl, and Desmond up in Portland. We'll have to put this picture up to the ones from the past two years...
Carl was kind enough to read bedtime stories to both of the boys.
Bedtime continued back in our room...
The Oregon Zoo the next day. Coby's the one with the lovey in his hand.
I swear they have the biggest sea lions at the Oregon Zoo! What do they feed those things?!?!?
The ocelot was Coby's favorite last year, but it was usurped by the lion. He still liked it a lot though.

Two little monkeys, swinging in a tree...
We stood in front of the lions for almost 30 minutes. Just as we were leaving the lion let out a giant ROAR. Whoah!

Petting the goats was a big hit.

At the Oregon Coast Aquarium we got to see the sea otters, seals, and sea lions get fed.
The sharks were a big hit, but the rest was just fish.
The beach was BEAUTIFUL that day. We really couldn't have asked for nicer weather.

Corvallis Knights baseball game at Goss Stadium.

Tossing rocks at Clemon's Park before taking a walk.

Playing on the train at Avery Park.
Hiding in the dinosaur bones.
Ruby and Merle's wedding.

It even got hot enough for us to go swimming at the Corvallis Aquatic Center! Woo-hoo!

Chasing chickens out at Grandpa's. They actually scared the snot out of him as soon as they started jumping and clucking!!!
Rocking away on the back porch.

Definitely getting a golden retriever SOMEDAY. Coby loved that dog to pieces, getting up first thing in the morning to give him a hug and then a kiss before bed every night.
Football with Aunt Max.

TACKLE!!!
