Robert's Birthday

For Robert's birthday we decided head to the beach for the weekend. Although I was dying to try camping again, it was his birthday, so we decided to go ahead and splurge on a hotel. I have to say it was very nice to be able to leave the hot beach (I burned my feet on the sand!) and head back to a nice, clean, air-conditioned hotel room.
We had planned to get up early and head back to the beach, but the pool down the hall was too hard to resist so we ended up lounging around the hotel until check-out.
Sometimes doing nothing is just too much fun!

Back in Gainesville we've been busy too. We went to a petting zoo.
And we had some friends over for a playdate.
It's so funny to see the "babies" running around and almost look like they're starting to play with each other.
I finally found a play kitchen on Craig's List. BTW: They are expensive to buy new and sell fast on C.L. There were several kitchen's I inquired about the day they were posted and was told they had already sold!
I realize it's pink, but for now it's in our kitchen and it matches all of our small appliances! :oD

And here he is acting like Daddy.
He snuck into the computer room after Robert had got done doing some emailing in there, picked up that hat and got right to work!

4th of July

Summer in Florida is hot and we've been spending a lot of time in the pool lately. So much that Jacoby developed a case of "swimmer's ear." Luckily it's easy to treat and easy to prevent, but it certainly curbed our 4th of July plans.
My cousins were visiting from Maryland, so we made the short drive to Newberry to visit with them and the rest of the family. It's so nice to get all the little cousins together!
