My friend Melissa and I signed up for Disney's 5K race, "Expedition Everest" and included in the registration fee was admission to Animal Kingdom. The race was at 7:30 PM, so we decided to take Jacoby to the park during the day. He had a BLAST meeting the characters and strollering around the park. Robert met up with us at the hotel later in the day and took over "baby duty" so that we could get back to the park for the race. I am proud to say that, with no training or preparation of any kind, we both were able to successfully finish the race :-) 5K is a lot longer than I thought it would be... Back at the hotel the next morning, Jacoby uttered his first word at breakfast, maybe. He definitely made a sound like "Mama" but whether he was referring to his mama is still hard to tell. At least he's got the phonics for it down!
